how to remove vista
So you bought a copy of vista and installed in your computer removing your old xp?
For the first few days you play with the newly installed os then you finally decide to hate the much hyped “windows vista”.Now you want to remove vista and get back to reliable XP but it isnt that easy.It seems as if there is no way to do so.So you try to google around with tags “how to remove vista” and “how to uninstall vista” ending up with process which seems too complicated for end users.
There for i am listing here the procedure to remove VISTA and back to XP in easy simple steps which any one can follow.
what you need?
1-windows vista bootable dvd
2-windows xp bootable cd
3-Dvds to backup your data(optional)
step-1
First step is to back all your data in the drive which your vista is installed.You can do this using dvds external storage devices or even moving the data to other device its up to you.This step is optional you can skip this and directly goto step 2.But remember you will never be able to get the data back as we will format the drive in the following steps.
step-2
Insert the windows vista dvd and restart your computer and boot from the dvd.(press F11 during boot to give preference to your dvd drive over your hard drive).Now windows file will start loading.Let it load and follow the instruction until you get a screen which lists all your drives and asks to select a drive to install vista into.select the advanced option and delete the drive in whcih vista is installed(usually c).Then remove the dvd.
Step-3
Insert the XP cd into the drive and boot from it.Now select to create a new drive from the free space available from the deletion of the drive in whcih vista was installed.And install XP into it as usual.
